Hi, I’m Heather — the heart behind Homeschool Info Hub
I created this space because I know what it’s like to stand at the crossroads of traditional schooling and homeschooling, feeling overwhelmed, unsure, and hoping for a guide who truly gets it.
I’ve spent my entire adult life in education — first earning my undergraduate and master’s degrees in education, and then teaching in public elementary school for 20 years. I loved working with children and families inside the school system — but I also saw where it fell short for so many children.
Over a decade ago, I made the decision to start homeschooling my own children. I’ve walked both paths: inside the classroom and outside of it — as both a classroom teacher and the mother of children in the public school system. I know what it feels like to want more freedom, more connection, and more trust in your child's learning journey — and to not always know where to begin.
At Homeschooling Essentials, my mission is simple: to meet you exactly where you are, help you find clarity and confidence, and support you as you create the homeschool life that fits your family.
